First 2 days
Right well I should get started on telling you about my trip in China, I had lived in Australia for a few years already and it was my first trip back to China (my parent's home town) for a wedding but still we had 10 days there so we wanted to explore China before we headed back to Australia.
So we packed our bags and left for the airport in Sydney. This was my first time being in a plane and so I was a bit nervous about being in a plane, but I was excited about being able to see my aunts and cousins. After a long trip in a plane and trying to sit still we finally arrived in China, well China airport but still we were in China!! I was so excited I nearly left my parents and the luggage behind!
After a 45 minute drive we arrived at my aunt's house. She and her family lived near a very beautiful park and so we had lunch at the park before we headed out to explore China.
We went shopping for clothes for the wedding and then went out to the city park to play. But the funny thing was I had not been taught to speak mandarin yet, so it was hard for me to communicate with some of the other kids in the park, but luckily for me my cousin was there with me so she was talking to them instead of me. So I could now say that I have officially had a personal translator.
Anyways after playing we left to go to the hotel to get some rest and wow the hotel was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the scenery from the hotel. We showered and had some rest before continuing our tour.
The next day we went out to the temples and we saw some pretty cool things such as statues, animals and there was a show on at the time so we stop by to have a look. The show was absolutely amazing, but I have to admit I was kind of bored throughout the show but the props and how the show was set was quite interesting. It wasn't like a normal theatre where you had the plush chair but instead you had wooden benches like in the olden days.
Now after watching the show it did take up half of the day and so for the rest of the day we went and booked two little boats that was in the shape of a swan and could hold up to four people. In this boat you had pedals which could steer the boat and that was what got me interested in wanting to go on the boat. You see that was my first boat ride ever as I had never been on a boat and so I was quite nervous about getting in a boat without a life jacket!! But still I hopped on and it was an amazing sight to see the nature and to get away from the city! We saw many animals and interesting plants!
Eventually the day came to an end and we had to get some rest and so we made our way back to the hotel. But just as we were about to go back inside the hotel I saw a little stall by the side of the road and they were selling a sponge cake thing that was sweet as. we ate and then went back up to get some sleep.

This is the cake we ate :)
